Well, this turned out half the way that I wanted it to. It's supposed to be Snape from the side so I had an excuse to properly draw his profile (because I doodle it a lot in class), but he doesn’t really look like Snape anymore. I think he looks more like Wolverine, or a screwed up Chad Kroeger or something. Bah. Anyhoo, based off an image from the Three Days Grace CD booklet. ~shrug~ I was planning to write the lyrics in for "Learn to be Lonely" from the end of the PotO soundtrack, but once I did the sketch I realized it wouldn't look right. So, I think it stays as it is and I will just use it for the title. Regardless of all else I am very proud of the pallet I used because it is so different from everything else I usually do. Now if only I could get a pallet like this in some of my paintings to please my prof... Anyhoo, what do you think?
Oh, the reason the corner looks so funky is that a few of my markers died, so I didn’t have enough ink in the right colours to finish it. ~sob~
I love this. First, may I just say, I love what the markers do with your style... before the ink was funky and cool but with the makers its a whole new thing. Second, Im still INCREDIBLY jealous of your skill with folds... those pants *dies* so not fair... I can do sleeves and shirts... but pants... *sigh* so incapable. Third, I love how simple the background is... its just beautiful. Now, I know you don't think it looks like Snape but I think it does.... its just weird for me to imagine Snape not in black robes. But I still think it looks like Snape, I mean, with that profile, how could it NOT be Snape. Lovely work!

I like the room you put him in, pretty much hits home of how he probably grew up. Looks like a teenager here. Makes me almost feel sorry for Snape.

thats like my second fave song from the movie and now that i think about it the lyrics fit it PERFECTLY! particularly i like Snape's sad expression....
Gah! Another beautiful peice of art, m'dear...so odd I am currently writing a fanfic with the inspiration of that song. *gushes of Phantom soundtrack*
Anyhoo, wonderful colouring, as usual of course...I rather like the general colour scheme of thispiece...I'm not sure why it just seems to fit very well. Snape's nose and hair are beautiful creations and I want them.
You've drawn his position rather well too, often, I have found, when artists attempt to draw people like that their necks become incredibally long and their waist/bum/legs look odd (the pictures that is...not the artist themself...0.o).
Loverly piece of art, Hon.

I think it's fine, I do think you could possibly crop it and make the same statement yet bolder. Yes, reminds me of Chad Kreoger from the "This is How You Remind Me" video. Cause he's all like 'I live in a bachelor pad with a matress on the floor.' *laughs* Oh Nickelback, how you've let me down sometimes. ^_~ But yes the cropping idea could work. Nonetheless, I still like it the way it is.

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
